Day 2 - Mashed potatoes

The recipe is pretty straight forward.  Wash, peel, and quarter 5-6 large potatoes.  Boil in a large pot of water with a dash of salt 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are tender.  Drain and add potatoes to the mixer bowl.  I add about 1/2 stick of butter (or more if I'm feeling naughty) and about 1/2 cup of milk, use more milk as needed.  Mix on a medium slow speed until the potatoes are creamy!  Add salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Yummy- mash! I'd prefer this shot without the distracting reflection in the bowl (bottle of milk?)

  10. I like the curved layered feeling of the shot, and the mash looks great. Mine (with the hand masher) always come out just a bit lumpy. Part of the reason I suspect my kids don't like mash!

I also think the reflection in the bowl is a bit of a distraction, but it's minor in such a great layer shot! Well done!
